Why It Works

Being able to see your heart rate in live time will deliver you and your coach the data needed to keep you In the optimal heart rate zone for your goals. For instance, the higher the heart rate the faster you burn calories but the less fat you will be burning per minute. Another example might be a runner looking to improve his/her overall speed on the track. We can use this data and interval training to repeatedly spike the athlete’s heart rate to the desired beats per minute to facilitate and increase in capacity. While the heart rate monitor isn’t imperative to success, it is a valuable tool to get the most out of your personal training.

Breaking down your weight

When you measure your weight, what are you actually seeing?  The InBody divides your weight into water, muscle, and fat. We break down your weight into multiple categories because seeing your weight alone is a bad indicator if you are actually at a healthy weight.  Take two males weighing both 200lbs and both 6ft tall we can break down their measurements and tell which is in much healthier shape. Male 1 is 155lbs of muscle, water, bone and then 45lbs of body fat or 22% body fat. Male 2 is 115lbs of muscle, water, bone and then 85lbs of fat or 42.5% body fat. While neither male may not be overweight, we can see that male 1 would be considered and is probably in much healthier shape because of how much less fat he is carrying on his body.
